Cotton Lords Tour of Europe

We’re getting packed, ready to embark on our first tour of Denmark, sandwiched between UK dates and a quick trip to Germany to play as nominees for the Malzhuas Plauen Preise. From Hove to Haslev, Sabro to Stones Barn (where we’ll be delivering workshops) we’ll be presenting the latest songs from the Cotton Famine project, an undertaking by the University of Exeter to preserve and disseminate  the  poetry of this traumatic period of working-class history. We’ve set a number of these to new music, with more in the pipeline. Plenty of time to rehearse on the 8-hour drive from Calais to Jutland!
